IntimitÉ RÉvÉlÉE (Premiered April 2024)
“Intimité Révélée” is a film made collaboratively between Ballet22 and the San Francisco Dance Film Festival, directed by Lorris Eichinger and Natasha Adorlee. Olivia was a co-choreographer for the film, and worked with dancers Charmaine Butcher and Alaja Badalich. “Intimité Révélée” is a film “for queer people, with queer people, about queer people.” It emphasizes the tenderness and everyday beauty of queer relationships through a movement lens. The film was recently awarded Best Ensemble Film at the Queer Dance Film Festival in Oakland, CA. Learn more about the project here.

Humor Me (Premiered May 2023)
“Humor Me” is a piece created in collaboration with a large cast of students from the LINES Ballet Training Program and Training Ground for the culminating performance of the 2022-23 year. Developed in just a few short and silly rehearsals, “Humor Me” celebrates both individual and collective joy through a combination of theatrical tasks and light-hearted choreography.

Stardust (Premiered May 2023)
“Stardust” is a solo work created collaboratively with Jules Roberts. Danced to Nat King Cole’s piece of the same title, Jules brought together care, passion, and nostalgia to make this solo uniquely their own. “Stardust” premiered in Boston, MA, in a showcase series for Integrarte’s 2022-23 season.

Still…in Motion (Premiered April 2023)
“Still…in Motion” is an immersive work presented throughout two evenings of performance at ZK Gallery in San Francisco, CA. Olivia produced these shows in collaboration with ZK’s talented director, Amber McCandless. Through a mix of individual and unison as well as set and improvised movement scores, “Still…in Motion” seeks to explore the connections available between stationary and moving art. The project features Anika Whetstone, Carissa Logan, Giulia Sales, Giovana Sales, Heather Maitland, Lilliana Eneliko, Luella Nandra, Matt Barry, and Sunny Winn. A filmed, excerpted iteration of “Still…in Motion” is currently in development.

Life. Is. A. Performance. (Premiered March 2023)
“Life. Is. A. Performance.” is a piece developed by multidisciplinary artist Matt Barry in collaboration with the dancer, Olivia Evans. Matt describes the piece best: “Throw on that mask, trust those feet, and put on a smile because the crowd is watching. Let them see who you are, but not fully. Make them believe that they know and understand. Make it up, have fun, and give them a show they will never forget.” “Life. Is. A. Performance.” premiered in the LINES Ballet Spring 2023 Student Choreography Showcase and went on to be performed in several community performances including the SFUSD Arts Festival and Teens at LINES spring showing.

Lucid (Premiered october 2022)
“Lucid” is a multi-media piece created for the LINES Ballet Training Program as a part of the Fall 2022 Student Choreography Showcase. The piece begins with a filmed prologue, transitioning into live movement created in close collaboration with the performers. “Lucid” explores what the mind can create when it slips into a different plane of consciousness. What sort of confusing, imaginative worlds might we find ourselves in, and how far from reality can we get? What deeper meanings are we left with when we emerge? “Lucid” features Anika Whetstone, Éline Castro, Erica Knox, Gabby Wei, Jessica Fisher, Liam Fleming, Lucile Plumbe, Maddie Coury, Nina Hedin, and Sienna Thibert.

Come to Life (Premiered May 2022)
“Come to Life” is a dance film created in collaboration with ZK Gallery in San Francisco, CA. The film explores the ways in which a group of movement artists can embody the vibrant and complex essences of still visual art. “Come to Life” was featured in the FilmFest by Rogue Dance in May 2022, the Inspired Dance Film Festival in October 2022, and the San Francisco Dance Film Festival in November 2022. It features Ally Ng, Camille Tokar Pavliska, Carissa Logan, Liza Smelyanska, and Sunny Winn.

Absence of Wonder (Premiered May 2022)
“Absence of Wonder” is a solo work created collaboratively with Boston-based movement artist Sarah Kalkert. In Sarah’s words, the piece “takes its primary inspirations from the painting ‘Narcissus’ by Caravaggio and the statue ‘Adam’ by Auguste Rodin; its themes include the disolution of the self, the embodiment of ideas and forms, and boundlessness.” “Absence of Wonder” premiered in Boston, MA, in a showcase series for Integrarte’s 2021-22 season.

who knows? (Premiered March 2022)
“who knows?” is a trio work created for the Emerging Choreographers’ Forum by Mark Foehringer Dance Project SF, an opportunity for student choreographers to create a piece guided by the expertise of local professionals. Through both spoken word and movement, the piece explores the coincidental unison that can emerge from unique streams of consciousness. It made its debut in the LINES Ballet Training Program Spring 2022 Student Choreography Showcase. It went on to be performed in the ECF Showcase and in Dancing in the Park SF, an outdoor festival also hosted by MFDPSF, in April 2022. “who knows?” features Hailey Maynard, Olivia Winston, and Sunny Winn.

Spherical (Premiered October 2021)
“Spherical” is a solo work created for Emilina Jarvis to present at YAGP 2021 in Philadelphia, PA. It explores the endlessly circular connection that is possible between movement and a musical score. After debuting at YAGP in October 2021, the piece went on to be performed in a showcase series for Integrarte’s 2021-22 season.

in the city (Premiered July 2021)
“in the city” is a short dance film capturing various sites throughout Boston, and exploring what happens when movement is integrated into them. It premiered in the Film Series portion of the Festival of Us, We, You, and Them, hosted by the Dance Complex in Boston, MA. The film features Emilina Jarvis, Hana Rits, Sunny Winn, Vera Cortell, and Zuzu Donovan.

Reverberate (Premiered December 2019)
“Reverberate” is an ensemble piece originally created for a showcase series for Integrarte’s 2019-20 season. It explores the various currents that run through a musical score, and how those can be embodied through physicality. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the piece was developed so it could be adapted to different performance mediums. In May 2020, it was commissioned to be featured in Choreographers’ Collaborative, a virtual showing of work by Boston-area choreographers. In May 2021, it was presented in the Dance Complex’s Campus Goes Complex, a virtual sharing of student-made work accompanied by commentary from local professionals. “Reverberate” features Catalina Long, Emilina Jarvis, Hana Rits, Jenna Kalkert, Nia Lessard, Sarah Kalkert, and Sunny Winn.

aRRHYTHMIA (Premiered June 2021)
“Arrhythmia” is Olivia’s debut choreographic work, and it is an ensemble piece created for a showcase series for Integrarte’s 2018-19 season. The movement in the piece intends to highlight nuanced musicality and a diverse array of rhythmic patterns. “Arrhythmia” features Hayley Donahue, Isabelle Mao, Olivia Crosby, and Sunny Winn.
